Our Story
The Curated Olive began with a simple, serendipitous moment between friends—turned business partners—Keya Grant and Chef Mark Phillips. What started in Keya’s kitchen as a day of recipe testing for Chef Mark’s cookbook quickly turned into something much more.
While experimenting with flavors, Chef Mark introduced a lavender olive oil. Intrigued and inspired, Keya responded with a spark of excitement: “Let’s create our own olive oil with relatable yet unique flavors!” That single sentence planted the seed for what would become The Curated Olive.
What followed was a year-long journey of passion and persistence—meticulous research, countless rounds of trial and error, thoughtful flavor refinement, intentional bottle curation, and recipe development to ensure every infusion felt both approachable and extraordinary. Together, they blended culinary expertise with creativity, determined to craft oils that felt at home in every kitchen while offering something unexpectedly special.
